660nm Pigment Removal Laser
Remove Skin Pigmentation Effectively with Visible Results
why is 660nm pigment laser good for treating pigmentation?
660nm Pigment Laser uses red pulses of laser energy to target epidermal pigments such as age spots and freckles with great precision. 660nm is a safer wavelength than 532nm for removal of epidermal pigmentation due to its lower absorption of melanin. At 660nm, it has greater selectivity of melanin rather than oxy- and deoxy-hemoglobin. This means that the laser allows vessels to remain intact even after the treatment, therefore minimising potential side effects such as PIH that could occur as a result of inflammation.
what result can you expect?
You will notice visible reduction in skin pigmentation with fewer sessions and less side effects such as swelling and rebound pigmentation. Your epidermal pigmentation will clear safely, quickly, and effectively.
how long will it take to see results?
The recommended treatment plan for epidermal pigmentation is to undergo 2 to 4 sessions with 4 weeks apart. You should see good results from the second session onwards.
Are there any side effects?
It is normal that the treated area may turn a little red immediately after the treatment. Over the next few days, the pigments may turn darker than usual. This will usually last for about 5 days. A crust will form and should drop off on its own to reveal a lighter color that is closer to your skin tone after each session. During the 5-day post-treatment period, it is very important to stay away from the sun and protect the area from sun exposure as much as possible. You should also apply sunblock before you leave home during this time to ensure full recovery and get the best possible result from the treatment.
