What is Circuit Breaker?

The Prime Minister of Singapore, Lee Hsien Loong delivered a speech on 3 April 2020 at 4pm to put in place heighten safe-distancing measures to pre-empt escalating infections of COVID-19.

This means that all movements and interactions in public places must be significantly reduced, functioning as a Circuit Breaker (“CB”), in the hope that the infection numbers will reduce.

In PM Lee’s speech, he has asked for only essential services that support daily needs to remain only, with safe-distancing measures in place. Non-essential services will be closed between 7 April and 4 May 2020 (inclusive).

On 21 April 2020, PM Lee delivered another speech to further extend the CB until 1 June 2020.

Does that mean that Radium Medical Aesthetics will stop operating during this period?

In line with our nation’s efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19, Radium Medical Aesthetics will temporarily stop offering elective aesthetic services from 7 April to 1 June 2020 (inclusive).

Normal operations will resume on 2 June 2020.

Is the clinic closed totally during this period?

No, we are not closed totally. We can still see patients who may deem to require emergency consultation for any medical issues or follow-up. We don’t accept walk-ins and we operate by appointment only.

What will happen to my programs and prepaid treatments?

In view of the unprecedented move to control the spread of COVID-19, we will extend all existing programs and prepaid treatments for another 3 months.
