FAQs About Business Continuity During Phase 2 (Heightened Alert)

What is Phase 2 (Heightened Alert)?

The Multi-Ministry Taskforce (MTF) noticed a gradual increase of the number of locally transmitted COVID-19 cases and unlinked community cases in Singapore.

To reduce the risk of any spread from undetected cases in the community, the MTF implemented pre-emptive measures to minimise interactions at both social settings and workplaces so as to break the chains of transmission to the community.

Even with the progressive measures that were put in place since 1 May 2021, there is an increasing number of unlinked community cases.

On 14 May 2021, the MTF put in place further measures to address the number of cases in the community. Phase 2 (Heightened Alert), or “Phase 2” will take effect from 22 July 2021 to 18 August 2021, both dates inclusive.

What are the changes that will be in effect during Phase 2?

Some of the changes are:

  • Current permissible group size will decrease from 5 persons to 2 persons
  • Each household can accept up to 2 distinct visitors a day
  • Work-from-home will be the default at workplaces
  • Indoor dining will cease during this period
  • Strenuous indoor exercises classes will cease
  • Personalised services which require masks to be removed (e.g. facials and saunas) will not be allowed
Does that mean that Radium Medical Aesthetics will stop operating during this period?

Radium Medical Aesthetics will continue to operate during Phase 2.

However, there will be some restrictions on the services we can provide during Phase 2.

What services will you continue to offer during Phase 2?

We will continue to offer all medical treatments performed by doctors.

Medical facials that are part of your treatment programme will also continue to be offered.

All other facial treatments will cease during this period.

Body contouring treatments such as fat freeze, Redustim, TriLipo etc. will continue to be offered in our clinic. However, you need to wear your mask throughout your stay in the clinic.

I purchased a programme that includes a facial treatment. Can I still go for treatment if I have an appointment during Phase 2?

Yes, you can still come for your appointment. If your treatment programme includes a Medical Facial listed in Table 1, your treatment plan will not be impacted.

I have an appointment for a facial listed under All Other Facials. What do I do?

Unfortunately, we won’t be able to carry out these facials during Phase 2. If you have an upcoming appointment for one of the facials listed under “All Other Facials”, please wait patiently for us to contact you to reschedule your appointment.

Our frontdesk has started getting in touch with everyone who has made an appointment during Phase 2 for facials that are listed under “All Other Facials” to reschedule your appointment.

Will you extend the validity of my facial treatments?

If your upcoming appointment is for one of the facial treatments classified as “All Other Facials”, we will extend the validity of your facial treatments.

There is no action required at your end.

Can friends or family come along with me to the clinic?

We do not encourage patients to bring anyone along to the clinic during Phase 2.

However, if you need someone to accompany you home after the treatment, we allow only a maximum of 1 accompanying visitor per patient.

I am worried about the fast-spreading variant of COVID-19. Should I still come for my appointment?

We have implemented strict measures at our premises to protect our patients and all our staff. Rest assured we are keeping up to date with the safety measures required by the Ministry of Health, and we are adapting our operations to ensure our clinic continues to be a safe environment for those who want to continue their treatments with us during this period.

Some safety measures that we have put in place are:

  • TraceTogether SafeEntry will be mandatory from 17 May 2021
  • Declaration forms and screening will be carried out
  • All patients are required to wear masks unless treatment is carried out
  • Only 1 accompanying visitor allowed per patient
  • Practising of social distancing in the clinic
  • Staggering of patient appointments so that it will not be overcrowded
  • Disposable bed liners are changed after every patient
  • Thorough cleaning and disinfection of the clinic daily
