Non-Surgical Treatment for Droopy Eyelids

Why do my eyelids droop?

Also known as ptosis, eyelids droop may occur due to age or various medical conditions. This can affect one or both eyes. Depending on the severity of the condition, it may affect your vision by blocking the pupil.

For most of us, getting droopy eyelids is a common, natural process of aging. The tendon that attaches the muscles at the eyelids is responsible for lifting the eyelid. As we age, the muscles get worn out and, as a result, cause the eyelid to droop.

Eyelid lift treatment with AGNES

Droopy eyelids affect many of us, especially when we age, and the skin loses its elasticity. In severe cases, it can even affect our vision. In the past, an eyelid lift treatment would mean that you had to undergo surgery as it was the only solution to correct this problem.

At Radium Medical Aesthetics, we now offer a non-surgical alternative. Our Eyelid Resuscitation treatment uses an advanced Korean technology to effectively lift sagging eyelid skin by creating micro-wounds on the skin with micro-insulated needles that deliver radiofrequency waves. After each treatment, it stimulates collagen remodelling and production, allowing your eyelids to tighten, lift, and restore its lustre again.

We use an advanced Korean radiofrequency micro-insulated needle system called AGNES to effectively lift the eyelids and get rid of saggy skin. The doctor carefully pierces the skin superficially at precise, controlled depths of up to 3mm. The needles deliver heat and radiofrequency waves to heat skin tissue and stimulates collagen remodelling and production in your skin.

How does it work?

The 30-minute treatment begins with application of numbing cream and local anaesthetic around the eyes.

The doctor takes the hand-piece with sterile micro-needles and create tiny holes on the eyelid to deliver radiofrequency waves.

Post-treatment care will be administered by the nurses to reduce the mild swelling and redness you may experience immediately after the treatment.

How long is the downtime?

You may experience some mild swelling and redness. It may persist for as long as 3 to 4 days. You may want to reduce social engagements and try to rest at home.

How long can the result last?

Best result can usually be seen in about 4 weeks after the treatment. The result can last for about 2 years. However, we encourage that you repeat the treatment between 12 and 18 months to enjoy longer lasting results.
