Radiolysis Facial Fat Slimming
Restoring V-Shaped Face with RF Microneedling
Losing excess fat in the face
Why do i have excess facial fat?
Just like our bodies, putting on weight in our faces is a direct result of a build-up of fat deposits. Excess fat is usually caused by overall weight gain which is often associated with one or more of the following factors:
- Unhealthy food intake with high levels of sugar and carbohydrates
- Lack of exercise
- Leading a sedentary lifestyle
- Intrinsic ageing
- Hereditary factors
How does radiolysis facial fat slimming work?
Radiolysis facial fat slimming treatment is a non-surgical treatment that uses radiofrequency energy to precisely target areas of the face with excess fat and ‘trim the fat’ to define facial contours.
It works by using a micro-insulated needle to melt the fat cells located on the cheeks and chin to debulk the face. When the needle is administered into the skin, tiny amounts of radiofrequency energy is delivered to break down the fatty tissue. Over the next few days during the recovery phase, the melted fat is drained out of the body through the circulatory system. The needle is well-insulated and this means that the superficial areas of the skin are protected from the radiofrequency energy, reducing the downtime of this treatment.
What results can you expect after the treatment?
By targeting the fat cells on specific areas on the face, the treatment is able to break down the fatty tissue effectively. The end result is a slimmer facial contour which allows your other features to shine, without having to go under the knife.
Is this procedure painful?
This procedure will approximately take about 45 minutes. Before you start the procedure, we will apply a layer of numbing cream to the treated area. For people who have very low pain threshold, we may provide other forms of pain-relief medication to make you more comfortable.
What is the downtime?
Immediately after the treatment, you can expect your skin to become red and inflamed. These side effects are expected to last about 2-3 days. With proper care, you can resume your daily activities within 1-2 days.
How many sessions are required?
You should be able to see some results after one session. However, we often advise our patients to repeat the treatment at least 2-3 more times for a longer-lasting outcome.
