Dr Yow graduated from Queen’s University Belfast, United Kingdom with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. She obtained her Masters in Surgical Science from the University of Edinburgh and is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) since 2020. She underwent her initial years of surgical training in the United Kingdom before returning to Singapore in 2020.
After returning to Singapore, Dr Lina sought a new direction in her medical practice. Aesthetic medicine is a unique opportunity to combine her surgical skills with a focus on enhancing beauty and promoting wellness. Embracing the artistry and creativity of aesthetic medicine, Dr Lina brings a fresh perspective and commitment to providing personalized care to enhance her patients’ individualized natural beauty.
Being a strong believer of evidence-based medicine practices, Dr Yow is passionate about clinic research. She has published articles in international journals and presented at several international medical conferences. To further her commitment to staying abreast of the latest advancements in aesthetic medicine, she is constantly further educating herself and is pursuing a diploma in Dermatology from Cardiff University, United Kingdom.
Dr Yow firmly believes in fostering a strong doctor-patient partnership to achieve optimal outcomes. She strives to empower her patients with knowledge to make informed choices and embark on a journey to achieve a more confident version of themselves. Recognised for her outstanding commitment to deliver high-quality healthcare service, Dr Yow was awarded the Singapore Health Quality Service Award and outstanding medical officer performance award in 2022.
Dr Lina epitomizes work-life balance and mental health. Aside from work, Dr Lina is a loving mother to her young son and a staunch advocate for holistic well being. In her pursuit of balance, she finds solace in Pilates, strength training, and indoor cycling, emphasizing the essential connection between physical activity, mental well-being, and a fulfilling lifestyle.
