Tixel Skin Renewal Programme harnesses the combination of heat and motion to reverse skin ageing, lighten skin pigmentation, and treat depressed acne scars.
Powered by Thermo-Mechanical Action (TMA) technology, its medical-grade sterile titanium tip gently applies heat to the skin to stimulate collagen production to address a wide range of skin condition.

Tixel treatment involves stamping a heated titanium plate with an array of 81 pyramid-shaped pins. The pins are heated to a temperature of 400°C. During the treatment, the thermal energy stored in the apex of each of the pyramid are rapidly transferred to the skin in fraction of a second.
The pins come in contact with the skin in a stamping motion at a precisely controlled speed and distance, transferring thermal energy from the apex of each pyramid to the skin.
Depending on the type of treatment, the extent of the energy transfer can be adjusted mainly by 2 components:
- Tip’s exposure time with the skin between 5ms and 18ms; and
- Protrusion to push the skin between 100µm and 1000µm
These titanium pins are not needles and are not designed to perforate the skin. It works by transferring heat to the tissue by contact.

Depending on your skin condition, concerns, and treatment goals, the Tixel Skin Renewal Programme may involve a series of treatments for more optimal results. In many cases, at least 6 sessions may be recommended to support progressive improvement in skin texture, firmness, fine lines, and overall skin quality.
After each Tixel treatment, and depending on the programme selected, a Healite LED treatment may be performed to help calm the skin and support recovery. LED light therapy can help reduce post-treatment redness, swelling, and discomfort, while supporting the skin’s natural healing process. This may help shorten recovery time and allow the skin to settle more comfortably after treatment.
To further support post-treatment care, our in-house Serenity Skin Restoration Mask may be applied after the session. Designed to adhere comfortably to the contours of the face, the mask helps soothe and comfort the skin while supporting hydration and recovery. It contains skin-calming and anti-inflammatory ingredients that may help reduce visible redness, irritation, and post-treatment sensitivity, leaving the skin feeling more refreshed and restored.
How many sessions are required to see results?
The number of sessions required depends on your skin condition, treatment goals, and the concern being treated. For the Tixel Skin Renewal Programme, a series of treatments is usually recommended, as results develop progressively with repeated sessions.
In general, patients may notice some improvement in skin texture, smoothness, and radiance after the initial sessions. However, for more visible and sustained improvement in concerns such as fine lines, skin laxity, crepey skin, acne scars, or overall skin quality, at least 4 to 6 sessions may be recommended.
Treatments are usually spaced a few weeks apart to allow the skin to heal and regenerate between sessions. Your doctor or therapist will assess your skin condition and recommend a suitable treatment plan based on your individual needs, expected response, and desired outcome.
How long is the downtime for Tixel?
Downtime after Tixel treatment varies depending on the treatment intensity, skin condition, treatment area, and individual healing response. For milder settings, patients may experience temporary redness, warmth, mild swelling, or a sunburn-like sensation that usually settles within 1 to 3 days.
For more intensive treatments, downtime may be longer. The skin may appear red, dry, slightly rough, or form tiny micro-crusts as it heals. This can take approximately 3 to 7 days to settle, depending on the treatment depth and your skin’s sensitivity.
Most patients can return to normal daily activities shortly after treatment, but it is important to avoid excessive sun exposure, heat, sauna, strenuous exercise, exfoliating products, and harsh active skincare during the recovery period. Proper moisturising, gentle skincare, and daily sun protection are important to support healing and reduce the risk of irritation or pigmentation.
